Challenge Mountain supports the special needs population in many ways. In 2002, the organization began a memorial endowment at the Charlevoix County Community Foundation. The endowment started with funds given in memory of a loved one or a person with special needs who is no longer with us. The endowment offers people who are attending college in the recreational therapy or special education field the opportunity to apply for a scholarship grant from this fund. Our belief is strong that we must perpetuate the ability to further what we do at Challenge Mountain. Through this scholarship we are able to continue to give to the special needs community.
