What do you remember about waxing skis?____________________________________________________________________________________________________

   1.    What is the proper sequence to waxing skis?

          a.  lightly sand, file edges, wax, remove excess wax, and sand.

          b.  wax, sand, put away

          c.  put some wax on it and shove it on the rack

          d.  none of the above

    2.   Look at the photo below and decide which ski looks like it has been properly waxed.  Is it the right or the left   or neither?

     3.  Why do people wax skis?

         a.  to make the skis slide easier

         b.  to make more of the ski bottom come in contact with the snow.

         c.  to rid the skis of minor imperfections on the surface that comes in contact with the snow such as scratches or gouges.

     5.   In your own words, what do you believe is the reason that waxing skis and snowboards is important, especially to Challenge Mountain?

     6.   Are there several temperature ratings for wax or are they all just an all purpose wax?

          a.  Many varieties for different temperatures.

          b.  There is just one type, just different colors.
